June 14-19 2003

28 faculty and extension personnel from around the country and around the world converged at the University of Minnesota in June 2003 for a week-long workshop focusing on teaching bioethics.  Participants studied ethical theory and how to analyze ethical arguments, as well as specific topics like environmental ethics, ethics in genetic medicine, and the ethics of genetic engineering.  Participants also worked in groups to develop bioethics case studies that they could take home and use with their classes or extension audiences.
